Doctor Who - Sixth Doctor

NOTE: See our Sixth Doctor Trousers Analysis/Tutorial for more on the Sixth Doctor's costume!

The Sixth Doctor (played by Colin Baker) wore a pair of trousers similar in style to some of those previously seen, but still notably different and new (like the rest of his, shall we say, "distinctive" costume).

For instance, his trousers were yellow and black, like those of the First Doctor (and one pair of the Second Doctor's), and they were vertically striped, as the Fifth Doctor's were.

And as with the Fifth Doctor, his suspenders fastened to the inside of his trousers rather than the outside.

However, the Sixth Doctor's trousers had a sewn-on waistband (cut on the crossgrain - i.e. the stripes were sideways) , which overlapped in the front by several inches and had no "double-top" in the back:

As with the Fifth Doctor, although his trousers had no back pockets, the Sixth Doctor's trousers did have side pockets:

Lastly of note regarding the Sixth Doctor's trousers, his lower pant legs were blind-hemmed with no cuffs, curves, or any other "funny business":
